I hate everything
What the fuck is wrong in people’s minds?? No rape is ever ok. EVER! When a girl is crying, being held down and forced to lose her virginity and then, at 15, gets pregnant from that, it is not a “gift from God”, it is an eternal reminder of that moment when she had no control over the rest of her life and she’ll grow up, but she’ll always be that 15 year old girl. She won’t know how to be an adult. She’ll be lonely and trapped in her own mind and not be able to hold onto relationships or friendships or even her family. There is nothing that sounds ok about any of this and yet it still happens, because thought’s like these still happen. Women are still seen as a thing for men to use. This is not ok.
talk to me at your own risk for the rest of the day because i might be breathing fire because of this post
excuse me while I manage to feel enough concentrated hatred that were it injected into a small whale,
that undersea fucker would devour the entire seal population in a fit of hungry rage
god
damnit
Ok, I am MALE and I don’t like this.
You know what, it doesn’t matter what your views on abortion are. I have always thought that, despite your views on abortion, two cases have been untouchable from any arguments that Roe v. Wade should be overturned. Rape is one. The other is if the mother is going to die if the baby is not aborted.
But apparently not, because there have been arguments in our government debating the validity of abortion in even these specific circumstances.
The second case is a legitimate medical issue; the fact that if the mother will die from childbirth, the child will have a much higher chance of also dying. From UNICEF health:
“Each year more than 500,000 women die in childbirth or from complications during pregnancy. Babies whose mothers have died during childbirth have a much greater chance of dying in their first year than those whose mothers remain alive”
But in the instance of rape, there is no real medical reason. The only reason is a moral one. Is it right for a human life to be snuffed out, even if it was made from forcible circumstances? I don’t think you can really answer that question definitively. It is one everyone has to make a decision on for themselves
But DONT push that decision onto everyone else. It is NOT the government’s job to tell a woman that she has to carry the baby of a man who attacked her. That is her call to make. And the idea that the government should control this decision sickens me. It is preposterous, it is offensive, and I would like to see whoever came up with the original idea thrown into the showers of a federal prison so he can see what rape is like on the receiving end.
And I haven’t even touched one bit on the 1st amendment of our Bill of Rights, which includes, and I quote, “Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion..”. So, basically, any argument with the word “God” in it is automatically INVALID.
